PECIAL HANDLING PROCEDURE OF HUMAN REMAINS (UNCREMATED) FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHT

1. Reservation.

Reservation can be made at the closest Garuda Representative Offices. For Jakarta can be made by calling our call center at 6221-23519999 and give complete date such as :
Destination
Name of the human remains
Name of the escorted if there is no escorted, shipper should give a written guarantee from consignee that the coffin will be collected at destination
Measurement of the coffin

2. Warehouse handling
Human remains must be accompanied by an official certificate of death from hospital/community health center.
Permit to transport a corpse/skeleton from public cemeteries office
Certificate from the health affairs office stating that the said corpse had been balm
Certificate from local police department if the death caused by accident.
The corpse should be put into closed coffin.
Weight of the human remains considered as 200kgs if shipper insist not to be scaled
If the actual weight less than the volume weight, the volume weight will be charged as chargeable weight

3. Tariff
Airfreight is 200% of normal rate plus 10% tax
Storage charge IDR 200/kg plus 10% tax
Break down fee IDR 60/kg
SMU fee IDR 7500/SMU
Security Charge IDR 5000/SMU
Fuel Surcharge IDR 250/Kg and minimum IDR 5000/SMU

SPECIAL HANDLING PROCEDURE OF HUMAN REMAIN (CREMATED) FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHT

1. Reservation

Reservation can be made at the closest Garuda Indonesia representative offices. For

Jakarta can be made by calling our call center at 6221-23519999 and give complete data

such as :
Destination
Name of the cremated remains
Name of the escorted
If there is no escorted shipper should give a written guarantee from consignee that the box case will be collected at destination
Measurement of the box case

2. Warehouse handling
Cremated remains must be accompanied by an official certificate of death from hospital/community health center.
Permit to transport cremated remains from public cemeteries office.
Cremation certificate.
Cremated remains must be shipped un funeral urns with cushioning materials and in a sealed outer box cased
Cremated remains and the coffin scaled and measured. The minimum chargeable weight is 10kgs.

3. Tariff
Airfreight is 200% of normal rate plus 10% tax.
Storage charge IDR 200/kg plus 10% tax.
Break down fee IDR 90/kg.
S.M.U fee IDR 7500/S.M.U
Security charge IDR 5000/S.M.U
Fuel Surcharge IDR 250/Kg , Minimum IDR 5000/SMU
